About Hughes Security

Our founder John Hughes Sr. saw how devasting the loss of life and property was to families due to a serious fire during his early career in the fire insurance industry. In 1962 John created Hughes Fire Protection Company. From the start, the business provided families with fire related safety products five years prior to the development of smoke detectors. Recognized as an industry leader during this time, John was sought out by large corporations to provide safety seminars to their employees. At the conclusion of these programs, fire and other related safety items were made available for purchase.

Hughes Fire & Security Systems, Inc was established due to the demand for home security in addition to the fire protection we were already providing. While safety technology was still in its infancy in our early years of business, the company quickly earned a reputation for offering superior products and services at a fair cost. As home fire and security protection awareness has been growing popularity, so has the cheap mass market do-it-yourself products which flood the market. Now in our sixty-third year, our client base has expanded by tailoring alarm systems to each residence and business thus ensuring the best coverage and protection. Over the years, Hughes Fire & Security Systems, Inc. has grown primarily through referrals from our many long-standing and valued clients.
